Day 30

Here's a picture of a portion of a wall/door hanging I made using a piece of cardboard (innovative, no?). This will be a class I plan to teach at Whim So Doodle in March. I used Basic Grey's Urban Prairie line. I just love it- very bright, whimsy, and fun. The picture is of me (as a blonde and pre-braces haha) in Washington DC during one of my regular summer visits.

Day 28

This is one of my guilty pleasures. Guilty, because it's so bad for you. I crave Taco Bell more than most things. When I was still at UCF, there were nights I would drive to Taco Bell, in pajamas at midnight for some tacos.

Day 27

If I can help it, I don't get up this early.  This morning, I didn't have a choice. I had to get up for an early start at work. I am not a morning person and will sleep til the afternoon when I can. It's horrible, I know. I always feel like I've accomplished so much more on days I wake up early. 

Day 26

This is where I spend my Mondays. In Orlando, at the UCF Psychology Clinic as a Receptionist. It's an internship which I started during the fall semester last August. 

Day 25

One of my dog, Chloe's favorite snacks. That, and peanut butter. 

Day 24

I love Outback and I love their Wallaby Darned drink even more. It's a peach bellini with all things wonderful. Peaches, champagne, Smirnoff vodka, and peach Schnapps. Es muy bueno. 

Day 23

If Michaels and Joannes battled it out- Michaels would win in my book. I love K&Company and Michaels has an extensive collection of their products. They also recently started carrying more products from Prima- new flowers, felt borders, bling. I'm there weekly. 

Day 22

Here in Florida, we don't truly experience cold. At least not to an extreme extent. Cold for a Floridian is anything below 70 degrees. Get into the 40's- you have some unhappy people. During the end of 2007 and beginning of last year, I'm not sure Florida even experienced a winter, as temperatures seldom dropped below 65 degrees. This winter is another story. We have had numerous cold fronts which I'm thrilled about- gives me an excuse to wear all my cold-weather clothes for a change. Last night, we had a freeze warning in effect and the weather gods came through. We experienced (well, I didn't really experience it, I was in my warm, cozy bed) temperatures in the upper 20's and lower 30's. This morning, I woke up early to take my car to the dealer, and woke up to this...now of course, this was after my dad defrosted my windshield and back window for me, reminding me if I move up north it takes 10 minutes to defrost your windows. In Florida, you rarely have to worry about that, and living in Germany, I was 3, 4, and 5 years old. Not quite ready to drive. ;) Below, you can see my car was actually covered with ice.

Today was a big day. A day to remember. I'm so proud I could witness such a monumental day and that I could take an active part in it. Thank you, America. You made the right choice. Now, bring on the CHANGE!

Day 19

I spent the day cropping with some ladies in Venice with my good friend Dee. I love do-nothing-but-crop-days. Here's a picture of Marty's dog, Zoie. She's a yappy little thing, but sweet. I haven't decided which one I'm going to use yet...

Day 18

I made this layout for my dear friend, Dee back in 2007 when one of her Jack Russells, Misty Blue passed. It was very sudden and unexpected. She was absolutely devastated as many of us would be when we lose a pet, which becomes a part of the family. I wanted to give Dee a remembrance of Misty, one that she could look at everyday and be reminded of the life her pup lead and all the good times. Now, it's hung prominently in her bedroom next to her bed. At the bottom, it says, "Wait for me on the bridge." A very sweet sentiment.

Day 17

I started using Bare Escentuals makeup several years ago. I thank my mother for that, as she was the one who got me hooked. It's the lightest and most natural makeup I have ever used. So natural, you can literally go to bed with it still on and it won't cause break-outs. Listen to me, I could be their spokesperson. I can speak nothing but good things about their makeup and I constantly find myself singing their praises whenever someone will listen.  I just recently got my friend, Rachel started on the makeup. She of course, loves it. My sister, aunt, cousin, and friend Dee all use it too.  This is my latest purchase-- something to hold some loose powder when I'm on the go and need a quick touch-up. 

Day 16

Without knowing, my sister and I both asked for Ed Hardy perfumes for Christmas (two different scents though). My dad calls it the "death perfume" because of the skulls and the words, "Love Kills Slowly" on the outside. It's a wonderful sentiment, wouldn't you say? The perfume is absolutely wonderful. It has a sweet scent, which I am normally not drawn to (I like musky scents), but this one is just the right amount of sweetness without being overwhelming. I remember a girl at my high school who always smelled like cotton candy- ick! 

Day 15

Where I work right now...I can't help but recall the episode of Friends where we learned that Phoebe hated Pottery Barn, and Rachel had furnished their entire living room with things from Pottery Barn (but of course, lied to Phoebe about the origin of everything). I can clearly hear Ross's dumbfounded, shrill voice, shouting to Rachel, "She hates Pottery Barn?!!" I miss that show.

Day 13

One of my favorite places to eat lunch is Panera. I became obsessed while I was a student in college since it's relatively cheap (compared to my other favorites like, Maggianos, Timpano's, and Macaroni Grill). Up until a few months ago, I was very anti-tomatoes. Although I love pizza sauce, salsa, and spaghetti- I would NOT eat tomatoes. My mom tried to get me to like tomatoes, constantly hiding them in my sandwiches and burgers, but I stood my ground. Recently, within the last few months, I realized...they aren't so bad. In fact, I actually (sometimes) like what they do to a burger or sandwich. So, I've been eating them. Never by themselves, but eating them nonetheless. This is huge in the eyes of my mother and sister who always wanted me to like tomatoes. 

About my picture: I've found a new love at Panera, since my taste in food has changed-- tomato soup. It's divine and especially paired with some of their hot bread. I have also found I like their tomato and mozzarella sandwich (another weakness of mine, cheese!).

Day 12

I graduated with a B.A. in Psychology in May of last year from the University of Central Florida. Since then, I have kept up with my psychology work by helping with research at the SURG (Substance Use Lab) lab on campus as well as an internship in the psych clinic since August. This spring semester, I will be continuing my internship in the clinic. I drive from Brandon to Orlando every Monday (now, that's commitment). It's a fairly painless drive, as I have done it, what seems like a thousand times, but it's incredibly boring, especially doing it twice in 1 day!

Time to take the decorations down! I bought these reindeers at Pottery Barn. PB has them every year- one of their staples. 

Day 9

Purses are my muse. I dream of a closet filled with purses one day. I've acquired the love from my mother. The origin of my love for everything related to fashion, jewelry, shoes, design, accessorizing, black and white, etc is from her. I am thankful for that. I am thankful for her. If not for her, I may look like a case from What Not To Wear.  Here is one of my newest additions. I bought it as a Christmas gift to myself. 

Day 8

One of my favorite places to eat. I love their chopped salad and three cheese Neapolitan pizza. It's a delicious combination. Yummm.

Day 7

Today, I took my new car to the dealership to have my Sirius, satellite radio installed. Another recent love of mine. It's so great. I can listen to any type of music imaginable as well as listen to weather reports for Chicago or Jeff Foxworthy on the Blue Collar Comedy channel.

Give my dog the option of sleeping in a plush and cushy bed or on a pillow, she invariably will choose the hard, tile floor or a pile of papers. She's such a goof. Here she is in a pile of packing paper.

My brother-in-law, John had to work on Christmas. He's a police officer. So, mom, dad, and I celebrated the holiday with John (again) later on when we could all be together. Here he is opening a framed picture I gave him of he and I. 

Day 2

Rach and I on our way to the Dallas Bull. Since we have both moved home after graduating, we try to go weekly. It's great fun and quite a workout! I love to line dance.

Day 1

I hadn't originally intended to do Project 365. I didn't really know much about it, but a vast majority of my scrapping friends are doing it and after spending the weekend with my good friend Dee who is also doing Project 365, I found that my interest was peaked. I was persuaded, and I've decided to try it. As of now I don't have the album and other materials and they're currently sold out. I hope February brings a new shipment- I've heard rumors. If anything, I can make my own, but would rather not...until then, I will be playing catch-up. I uploaded a bunch of photos on to my computer last night and have started to sort. Project 365 will be a challenge, but I think it will be extremely rewarding in the end. I hope I make it to the end!

This picture was taken just after we rang in the new year. I spent the holiday with my friend Rachel and her friends and family. We celebrated her dad's birthday as well.  This is her dad, aka "Gramps." Side Note: I became friends with Rachel during my sophomore year in high school. We were both leading ladies in a play in drama and I played her daughter. Since then, her parents have earned the names, "Gram" and "Gramps."
